Our experiment Rape in precision seeding

Last fall, we took a large-scale look at single-grain canola. Machine was a Kuhn Planter with 45 cm row spacing. Unlike broad seeding, which distributes seed evenly over the area, precision seeding allows more precise control over plant spacing and promotes uniform plant development.

We initially drilled 40 grains/sq m, but then increased to 45 grains/sq m. That was certainly a mistake. The stand is now too dense.
